Farmer’s Yarn No.3: Ben Moore, Federated Farmers and Farmy Army takes five to chat all things Repost!

We decided to have a yarn with JK Fencing’s John who was a lifeline for many farmers as part of the ‘Commence the Re-fence’, his team enabled over 90km of fence lines to be repaired a bloody good effort if you ask us!

Ted Roberts, a 82 year old farmer along with his son Edward acted as the main Eskdale Materials hub for the Farmy Army. Their fence lines were bowled over by Cyclone Gabrielle but they are already getting the “guts” back into their property.

Waste takes many different forms onfarm and there’s some great initiatives out there with an aim to give these resources another life - sometimes even back on the same farm! So when it comes to the circular economy of recycling onfarm waste, it’s about viewing it as a resource, rather than rubbish.
